The East Africa Center for Disability Law and Policy (EA-CDLP) is an independent, non-governmental, and not-for-profit organization that seeks to remove barriers that hinder enjoyment of human rights by persons with disabilities and limit their inclusion and participation in development decisions processes within the East African region.
We aim to increase access to reliable data and information in the disability arena by researching and publishing on disability, law and policy. We build capacity offer technical support to public and private stakeholders, civil society and development partners, with regard to disability mainstreaming. We work to influence development processes for national and regional laws and policies to ensure effective inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities.
To ensure adequate learning, we collaborate with national and regional stakeholders through strategic partnerships to intervene in strategic areas, where necessary, in pursuit of the ultimate goal of inclusion. EA-CDLP is currently has an operative office in Kampala,Uganda.
